Value [the] Meal is a campaign of Corporate Accountability International that works to stop the fast food industry abuses behind the current epidemic of diet-related disease.
The epidemic begins with our children and recent studies demonstrate that the closer fast food is to schools, the higher the rates of health conditions like obesity. This map looks at the proximity of McDonald's and other chains to schools in three major cities.
This is the beginning of a larger mapping project and an initiative to provide parents and policymakers with useful information to protect our children's health.
